Marinated Flank Steak

What can I say?  It's inexpensive, quick, easy and it tastes great.  When Jeff gets home from work, I had him the steak (along with a beer of course) and he heads out to the barbecue, doing the cooking for me!
  • 2 (1 1/2 pound) flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 green onion finely chopped
Trim steaks and score diagonally.  Combine soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic powder and ginger in a bottle and shake well.  Add oil and green onion.  Shake to mix well.  Place steaks in a shallow dish, add marinade and refrigerate, covered , for 4 hours or longer.  Grill for 6 minutes per side for medium-rare.  Slice thinly on the diagonal.  (You may also use a gas grill or gas broiler using medium flame.)
